Job Title: Sales Manager
Location: Remote (US preferred)

BGSD, headquartered in Washington, DC, is excited to be building our own Sales Team with the new role of Sales Manager.  We are focused on providing holistic coaching programs that shift growth-minded leaders toward massive impact through a bespoke combination of executive coaching, strategic consulting, and team training. We are seeking a full-time Sales Manager to directly support our growth initiatives and to contribute as a leader as the organization scales. This role will report directly to our Director of Operations while working with the CEO to build and deliver on ambitious sales goals and team expansion. Your own strength in stepping into discussions to professionally and proactively diffuse team conflicts while delivering solution orientated outcomes will contribute nicely to our leadership team and the culture. This new role will be defined and yet developing through your efforts and openness to work on what is, and what is not, working proactively.

While contributing to the revenue and new client engagement for the firm through your own sales efforts is part of your role, your primary responsibility includes identifying, training and managing sales team members in line with a proven sales process specific to the BGSD method to meet or exceed company goals. This will be a new effort to hire and create our sales team so that you can mentor and support their success. You may also be asked to do sales consulting with our clients occasionally.

Upholding the integrity of our sales process efforts through sourcing and building exceptional internal and external relationships, collaborative training and consistent coaching through access and attention will see you AND your team thriving within our company.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Participate in meetings, best practices and collaboration as a part of the BGSD Leadership Team.
  • Recruits, participates in hiring, and coaches new sales team members to meet identified growth needs for the firm.
  • Creating and nurturing a sales team by identifying and overcoming skill or mindset challenges so that the team reaches their goals
  • Ensures that all sales team members receive consistent support via team meetings, 1-on-1 calls, and performance assessment calls to allow for professional progress and achieving goals
  • Proactively meet with, qualify and close potential BGSD prospects in line with established sales process to meet or exceed individual sales goals.
  • Occasionally lead BGSD sales training sessions for internal BGSD sales team as well as external client engagements
  • Ensures consistent and detailed analysis and documentation in line with sales pipeline system and reporting needs
  • Holds ultimate accountability for achieving agreed upon sales goals for the firm.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years – sales experience within the coaching, training, consulting market for entrepreneurs and start ups
  • 3+ years of experience as a supervisor/ manager of sales teams in a service or consulting industry
  • Comfort with analysis and action through data in a CRM
  • Excel at process driven efforts in consultative sales
  • Experience working within highly collaborative teams
  • Ability to ‘solution find’ creatively, while providing major breakthroughs for our prospects
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written – as well as ability to present and explaincomplex subject matter in a digestible manner
  • Knowledge of and passionate about mentoring sales teams to achieve goals
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 30% of the time

Preferred though not required:

  • Coaching experience
  • Relevant education and/or additional certifications a plus

Compensation:
This is a full-time salaried position with health care and retirement benefits. The base salary for this position is $80,000 and is eligible for quarterly, tier-structured bonuses based on team revenue goals. A successful candidate can expect to generate salary between $120,000 – $140,000 a year.

Job Title: Director of Corporate Training
Location: Washington, DC strongly preferred

Job Description:

We are seeking a full-time Director of Corporate Training to build and lead our Corporate Training service vertical. This is an executive role that will serve on our Leadership Team and report directly to the CEO. 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Create and lead the new Corporate Training service line vertical
  • Lead business development efforts for corporate training contracts
  • Lead creation of new corporate training content in key business areas including leadership, management, mindset, and team communication
  • Build and manage Corporate Training team of salaried employees and contract trainers

Job Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience running a company or service line vertical division within a company
  • 5+ years of experience managing a small team
  • Experience building a vertical team
  • 5+ years of corporate business development experience with a proven track record of successfully sourcing and closing corporate training contracts
  • An established professional network that includes corporate leaders
  • 2+ years of experience creating and conducting corporate trainings
  • Commitment to progressive ideas & causes

Compensation: 

This is a full-time salaried position with health care and retirement benefits. The salary range for this position is $120k – $150k, commensurate with experience.

Job Title: Small Business Strategist
Location: Washington, DC strongly preferred

Job Description:

We are seeking a full-time Small Business Strategist to help ensure positive growth outcomes for our small business executive clientele. This role will work directly with the VP of Client Service. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consult small business executive clients in key business areas including finance, brand strategy, tactical marketing, operations, and management
  • Draft outbound client deliverables
  • Review and provide feedback on inbound client deliverables
  • Participate in weekly group coaching sessions for entrepreneurs
  • Provide direct consulting support to clients as needed

Job Qualifications:

  • MBA
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, including the ability to present and explain complex subject matter in an easily digestible manner
  • Commitment to progressive ideas & causes

Preferred but Not Required: 

  • 2-5 years of management consulting experience
  • Entrepreneurial/startup experience

Compensation: 

This is a full-time salaried position with health care and retirement benefits. The salary range for this position is $100k – $120k + bonus, commensurate with experience.
