In December of 2017, Stephen Solomon approached us with a problem. He’d gone out on his own a few months earlier, founded Break Something, and gotten a few clients. He was making decent money for a solo entrepreneur, but he was working all the time. He had started to turn away business.
Stephen needed guidance to evaluate what was possible for his business and help creating a roadmap for how to achieve it. He also knew that as a first-time entrepreneur, he would benefit from leadership coaching, especially around hiring and managing a staff.
BGSD helped Stephen set a vision for what Break Something could become, build a financial forecast model that he could use to make management decisions quickly, hone his brand strategy, create a staffing plan, and get comfortable in a leadership role.
Within nine months, Break Something’s revenue grew over 2000%, and Stephen was overseeing a staff of eight from a new downtown office. He was able to buy a new home for himself, his wife, and his son, and he now leaves the office at a reasonable time.
